Bankruptcy
Our fee to prepare a Chapter 7 bankruptcy is $200. You will pay the United States Bankruptcy Court filing fees of $306 (must be in the form of a Postal Money Order) directly to the Court.
The new Bankruptcy Code requires two mandatory credit counseling education classes.
- Pre-petition bankruptcy counseling $25 to $75 fee
- Pre-discharge debtor education $25 to $75 fee
The Department of Justice has a list of approved credit Counseling Agencies
To complete your documents we will need the following :
- Cash or money order payment of $200 is required at your first appointment should you decide to use our services
- Pay stubs and all sources of income for the last 6 months.
- Income tax returns the last 2 years.
- All billing statements, including utility bills, subscriptions, credit collectors, student loans, mortgage loans, insurance, taxes, lease agreements, etc.
- A copy of a current credit report. If you haven't ordered a credit report in the last 12 months you can get a free credit report from www.annualcreditreport.com
- All bills, monies and gifts that you have paid and/or received the last 3 months.
- Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card for all debtor(s).
- Income tax returns the last 2 years.
